‘Free If You Wanna Be’ EP

Yeah, I have been pretty lazy and I didn’t bother updating my blog when my ‘Free If You Wanna Be’ EP came out a couple of months ago. Luckily nobody told the blog police!! I owe a massive thanks to those of you who supported the EP and turned it into my fastest selling release to date. The video has received thousands of views (even though I accidentally deleted it at one point!) and the EP itself graced the front page of iTunes and was featured by Myspace (yes, they are still going) 😉 Check out the vid below if you missed it… if only to see why I couldn’t move for a week after shooting haha

‘All Time Top Ten’ Mix – 10 Minutes, 95 Classics!

I recently made an ‘All Time Top Ten’ mix for UK radio station XFM. The mix series has been running for years, with the likes of Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Flux Pavilion and Crookers having done it in the past. Host of the show, Eddy Temple-Morris, asks DJs & producers to include as many of their all time favourite tracks within 10 minutes as they dare to… Hopefully without it sounding like a complete mess – you’ll be the judge!!

The mix received a great response when it aired last month, with EddyTM calling it one of his “favourites ever”, so I decided to make a video to show you guys how I put it together. Check it below and download the mix right here.

Happy new year! What’s on…

Happy new year people! I hope you all had a good festive break and you’re ready for 2014. I put on weight and drank too much (standard). I also missed the countdown to the new year as I was in a corner shop buying a bottle… priorities!

I have two EPs coming out in the next couple of months and I can’t wait for you to hear them (I always say this but it’s the truth!). The first is my ‘Kill Them: REMIXED‘ EP, which features big remixes from Pyramid, Kid Kenobi, Karton and Farace, along with one that I have done myself. It is set for a February release and I will be uploading previews over the next few weeks on my SoundCloud page. The second is my brand new original 4-track EP named ‘Free If You Wanna Be‘, featuring vocals from MC Lomax and Doll. If you’re into Instagram you can check out a cheeky snippet here. I am about to begin shooting the video for the lead track and get things rolling on the promo front. More info on this one soon!

We Are Live favourites Zeskullz are back with a brand new remix of a RuN RiOT classic. The Russian duo have been causing a storm on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label recently and they have done it again with this bass heavy Breaks/Trap monster!

‘Everybody Needs A Bassline2’ was originally released back in 2010 and helped RuN RiOT to grab Best New Producer at the International Breakbeat Awards. iDJ Magazine called it a “highly original powerslam of a track”, while it gained heavyweight DJ support from the likes of Crookers, Laurent Garnier, The Crystal Method and Far Too Loud.

Also, if you missed my latest freebie you can download it here. It’s a collab with fellow Breaks producer Refracture and it’s gained almost 20k spins on Soundcloud already 😉

Lastly, my video for Upon Your Enemy has made the Spring Showcase of the American Online Film Awards and picked up another Official Selection at the Macon Film Festival. I’m chuffed that all of the hard graft and love that the team put in to making it is paying off!
